In a heartbreaking turn, his truck rolled through the lowered boom gate and was struck by a passing freight train. The accident left him effectively quadriplegic, stripping away his mobility but never his spirit. For the next five years, until his passing from cancer in 2022, our family leaned heavily on the unwavering support of home care providers. These dedicated professionals didn't just assist with daily needs—they became extensions of our family, offering not only skilled care but also empathy, patience, and genuine connection during an unimaginably challenging time.
